Alright, here’s the rules. FCA is now run by Akio Toyoda, build quality and reliability are top notch for the whole range but nothing else has changed. You can have up to 5 cars but no one car can exceed $75k msrp.
Which FCA products are you going to have in your garage?
![]() 03/01/2017 at 19:27 |
|
1. Challenger Scat Pack 6 speed manual
2. Challenger Scat Pack 8 Auto
3. Charger R/T 8 Auto
4. Grand Cherokee of some kind with the 5.7
5. Wrangler Rubicon

I am able to imagine an altered reality to a certain extent, but not so much that FCA products are as reliable as Toyotas. Current owner to boot.
That said, my truck would be much better with a Maserati parked next to it.

1 unicorn - Alfa Romeo 4c Spider with the Giuila Quadrofolio engine and MT. Dream big.

1. Chrysler TC by Maserati (with the Turbo II and 5 speed manual)
2. 1991 Dodge Spirit R/T (with the Turbo III)

Lol, I know right? Even my wife has said while we’ve been car shopping that she would love a Cherokee but she can’t ever bring herself to buy a Jeep in good conscience.

Stripper Giulia Quadrifoglio and a 4C.
![]() 03/01/2017 at 19:47 |

1 Durango SRT
2 Fiat 500 Abarth
3 Fiat 124 Abarth

My in-laws are looking at the new Durango. They have been Toyota folks generally but mother-in-law wants to “buy American”. They are nice rigs.
![]() 03/01/2017 at 20:02 |

I hope it works out for them, the odds are not in their favor. GM is up there with reliability, even if none of their vehicles are up there in charisma
![]() 03/01/2017 at 20:05 |

hellcat srt charger, alfa quadrigfolio, screw the rules- viper ACR and of course a grand Cherokee
![]() 03/01/2017 at 20:07 |

124 Abarth

JGC with hemi - Overland
If I can squeeze a Ghibli in I’ll add that ( think too much $ though? )
![]() 03/01/2017 at 20:13 |

Renegade with the Abarth engine and manual
Pacifica hybrid
diesel Giulia
Magnum SRT8
Ram 700 (a Fiat Strada ute sold in Mexico)

Hahaha, no problem. The price limit was me trying to leave out Ferraris and most Maseratis
![]() 03/01/2017 at 20:21 |

Alfa Giulia Quad WITH A STICK and an Abarth 500! :D
![]() 03/01/2017 at 21:10 |
|
1) Chrysler 300 w/V8 (Can’t remember what the trim is called.)
2) Dodge Dart manual transmission, with some coilovers might be fun a tossable.
3) Doge Ram extended cab and full size bed (If that’s even a thing) 1500
4) Jeep Wrangler
5) Viper since it’s the cheapest sports car FCA makes.
![]() 03/01/2017 at 21:11 |

Kinja won’t let me edit, but I’m changing the Viper to Alfa 4C
![]() 03/01/2017 at 21:13 |

yep - I’ll let her make fun of my Subaru until her transmission blows up.
![]() 03/01/2017 at 21:22 |

Should have your folks look at the new Acadia. My wife and I really liked it but it’s too big for our needs, we’re waiting for the new Equinox/Terrain. The Buick Envision is nice too, but my wife didn’t like the styling (still old buick front)
![]() 03/01/2017 at 21:26 |
|
The Buick is super nice - I work with a lady that has one. Good looking, spacious, nice but tasteful (not overly chromey) interior, nice seats, that 3.6 v6 is punchy...
![]() 03/01/2017 at 22:09 |

If FCA made cars with Japanese quality and reliability. Man they would be in a whole other place.
![]() 03/01/2017 at 22:16 |

Daily Driver: Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio
Weekend Warrior: Ram 2500 Power Wagon
Family/Road Trip with multiple people Mover: Chrysler Pacifica PHEV
Track Day: Alfa Romeo 4C
Drag Car: Dodge Challenger Drag Pak, because rules are meant to be broken.
I know, I didn’t include any Jeeps, though I wanted to put a Renegade Trailhawk in so badly, I didn’t wanna break the rules TWICE.
![]() 03/01/2017 at 22:16 |

I know right!? They look good, and on paper they’re fantastic. With reliability and quality, it would be hard justifying another car.
![]() 03/01/2017 at 22:17 |
|
If she wants to “buy American”... Then she should actually continue buying Toyotas.
![]() 03/01/2017 at 22:19 |
|
Hahaha, no problem. The price rule was more to prevent Ferraris and most Maseratis from filling the lists. Reliable Maseratis are too obviously awesome lol
![]() 03/01/2017 at 22:27 |
|
I am willing to even stand up to the reliability issues to drive a Hellcat, Grand Cherokee or even a base model Guilia.
![]() 03/01/2017 at 22:40 |

yeah... she’s gotten on the trumpster train pretty hard....
![]() 03/01/2017 at 22:41 |

That’s the single best photo I’ve seen of the Guilia. Drool
![]() 03/01/2017 at 22:47 |

Just send her the most American list and tell her to buy one of those.

2 Toyotas, 3 Hondas, and 3 GM Vehicles. Also the tundra/Sequoia are built in Texas.

Daily: Grand Cherokee SRT8 - it’s honestly perfect.
Off-road: Wrangler Rubicon
Track Day: Alfa 4C
Fun Car: Alfa QV
![]() 03/02/2017 at 09:46 |
|
That’s damn close to what I would get. The difference is I would have an SRT Charger and my wife would have the SRT Jeep
![]() 03/03/2017 at 18:21 |

Zero. Styling is horrible.

Ok. Maybe I’ll do the Charger in purple with the orange interior.

1. Durango SRT.
2. regular Cab Long box Ram 3500 diesel with manual trans, and heated cloth seats.
3. manual Trans R/T Challenger for a Daily... scratch that I forgot about Fiat so a 124 Abarth. Way more my style.
4. A Compass For the family car/wife’s car Probably a Limited I don’t think she’d have any interest in a Trailhawk.
5. Fiat 500e it just sounds fun. The wife would probably take it more than the Compass.
![]() 08/01/2017 at 10:40 |

Hey, don’t sell yourself short. Those are fine choices
![]() 08/01/2017 at 10:53 |

5 <75k FCA cars?
Alfa Romeo Giulia QV
Alfa Romeo 4C
Abarth 695 (so a 500)
Lancia Thema (old stock)
Fiat Ducato? (I ran out of inspiration)
I can only get new Dodge, Ram and Chrysler vehicles as grey market imports here, so they could be options but I couldn’t care less about trucks and muscle cars so no loss there. Jeeps are available normally but that brand only offers crossovers and the Wrangler, so no Jeeps on my lists.
![]() 08/01/2017 at 10:54 |

I’ll take a 500e (maybe with some Abarth control arms or something?) as the daily, and a Pacifica Hybrid as a cargo hauler/roadtrip machine (sleeping in a car is a lot nicer if that car is huge), I guess?
